In March of 2015, the company opened a micro-distillery experience called the Tennessee Stillhouse, which was the first legal distillery in Chattanooga in 100 years. Bottled at 90 proof, it's a complex spirit with a soft and sweet straight bourbon profile.In 2013, the company became known for changing statewide laws to make distilling legal again in Hamilton County with its successful “Vote Whiskey” campaign. ![]() In practice, the expression is a blend of 2 to 10-year-old whiskeys. Following each small-batch bottling, the barrel is topped off with 10 to 15 mature barrels. Its signature line of straight bourbon whiskey, Tennessee High Malt, is made from four grains, including three select specialty malts. Chattanooga Whiskey’s range comprises three lines. This is where the distillers make their signature Tennessee high malt. In March 2017, the company opened its second distillery in downtown Chattanooga, the Riverfront Distillery, transforming a historic car dealership into one of the largest craft bourbon distilleries in the South, with a dunnage-style heated barrelhouse with room to age more than 4,500 barrels of whiskey. In 2015, they released the first whiskey produced in Chattanooga in 100 years, Chattanooga Whiskey "100", and began crafting their malt-forward style of straight bourbon whiskey, Tennessee High Malt, which was released in August 2019, marking a new era in the company history.
